Ear Wax Removal Through Microsuction

Cotton buds make things worse when it comes to removing ear wax, and using the syringe method on your own can cause extreme discomfort as well as other side effects including infections and dizziness. And it's crucial that you visit a clinic in case of severe pain or vertigo.

If you wish to remove the wax, ear suction is the safest and most comfortable method. Unlike syringing an ear to remove wax, ear suction wax removal does not require waiting until the ear is completely blocked with wax and does not require the use of ear drops either. Microsuction provides immediate relief from the inconvenient and uncomfortable symptoms of clogged ears.

Ear Wax Removal FAQs

  • Ear wax is something that we all are familiar with in our lives. When we take a shower after a long day and dry our body afterward, we usually dry our ears too with earbuds or a tissue. The yellowish layer that comes out of the ear when we clean our ears is ear wax.

The formation of earwax is a natural process as it is a mixture of dead skin cells and hair combined with different gland secretions within the ear. Ear wax works as a protective shield for our eardrums and also moistures our ears.

  • People whose bodies create a lot of earwax have a higher risk of earwax obstruction and impaction.

Swimming might cause some people to develop excessive earwax. Earplugs and hearing aids prevent wax from naturally dropping out of your ear, causing an earwax build up.

  • Excess earwax can build up and harden, forming a clog that might block your ear. A clogged ear can make it difficult to hear and might become really painful too. Some of the symptoms that reveal you're suffering from an ear infection or ear blockage are:

    • Stuffiness in ear

    • Pain

    • Difficulty in hearing

    • Tinnitus

    • Itching

    • Discharge or bad odour

    • Nausea

  • Usually, people use cotton swabs to clean their ears. But that's a bad idea! The reason is that sometimes cotton swabs cause more harm than good. While cleaning your ears with cotton swabs, there's a chance that you will end up pushing the ear wax in deeper rather than removing it. This can result in serious problems such as:

    • Infection

    • Tearing of eardrum

    • Loss of hearing

    • Earache

  • Problems arise when the ear wax starts getting produced in a large quantity.

According to statistics, one of the leading causes of hearing loss and tinnitus is the excess of ear wax. If your ear is building up an excess of ear wax, then you need to get it removed as soon as possible. There are many ways to remove the ear wax, but one of the best ways is through microsuction.

  • At our clinics - £49.50 for one or both ears.

Home visits - £55.00 for one or both ears.

  • Microsuction uses gentle suction to lift the ear wax out of the ear canals. A microscope is used to view the ear wax, ear canals, and eardrums. A thin vacuum is inserted into your ear to dislodge your wax. After dislodging, the clinical ear care practitioner will remove the wax with the help of the vacuum.

There are few clinics that perform this technique as the types of equipment required for microsuction are pretty extensive.

  • Ear irrigation (previously known as ear syringing) uses a low pressure flow of water using a specialised irrigator to gently and effectively remove the wax build up.

  • We have the latest equipment, and our clinical ear care practitioner is specialised in his craft. The treatment is painless, and is completed within a few minutes. Our microsuction doesn’t expose your ear canal to moisture and can also be performed on people who have a ruptured drum or outer ear infection.

Come visit us for your ear wax removal and if you have any kind of queries, you can contact us through our website or phone number. We will be happy to assist you in every way possible.
